In Response to Covid-19

Counseling Resources Neuropsychological Associates is fully committed to safeguarding the health and safety of all employees and clients/visitors.  We regularly review the guidelines available from the CDC, state and local authorities and adjust our scheduling and adherence procedures in response.  Please read the following in preparation to receive services:

  • Our reception and support staff are working remotely so it will be necessary to leave a voice message when you contact our clinic at (608) 242-7160 to request or schedule appointments.  Messages are checked and responded to between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.

  • Clinicians will provide telehealth services to patients whenever possible. This includes counseling/psychotherapy sessions, evaluation intake interviews and review of evaluation results using telehealth methods.

When face-to-face services are required the following procedures will be followed in order for the appointment to occur:

  • Patient appointments will be scheduled to limit the number of persons present at the clinic.

  • There can only be one person accompanying the patient to their appointment.

  • Greetings will occur without contact (no handshakes).

  • No food and drinks will be offered.  Patients and accompanying adults may bring food and drinks with them as needed.

  • Clinicians will conduct and record temperature checks of the patient and accompanying adult upon arrival.  To do this, a digital thermometer is pointed at one’s forehead in order to read the temperature (it does not need to touch the skin).  Appointments will be rescheduled if a temperature ≥100ᴼ is recorded.

  • Each patient and accompanying adult will be required to respond to questions/complete a form regarding their recent health status, any recent travel, and whether they or their family members have been themselves or in contact with anyone who has been sick within the past 14 days.  Clinicians will review and obtain clarification of responses as needed.  The appointment will be rescheduled as directed by current guidelines; (e.g., when symptoms of illness are present or there has been close contact with anyone with symptoms or diagnosis of Covid-19 within the last 14 days).

  • Use of face masks and/or face shields is required by all parties while onsite at the clinic.  If due to a disability or illness any party is unable to wear a face mask, the appointment will be rescheduled.  You are encouraged to bring a personal face mask with you.  If you do not have one, a disposable face mask will be provided.

  • Hand sanitizer, tissues, access to soap & water are readily available for use while onsite.

  • At minimum, patients will be directed to use hand sanitizer or wash at the beginning and end of appointments and throughout evaluation testing if contact with materials and equipment is required.

  • Have questions, concerns or need to reschedule an appointment?  Call us at (608) 242-7160.
